Dominion Raceway, previously known as Old Dominion Speedway(ODS), was a 3/8 mile (0.6 km) NASCAR Whelen All-American Series and drag racing track located in Prince William County, near Manassas, Virginia. ODS closed in the Fall of 2012. Being hemmed in by residential development led to frequent noise complaints from neighbors, which convinced the owners to search for new locations along I-95 between Stafford County and Richmond. == New location == Steve Britt, principal owner of the Old Dominion Speedway, has purchased approximately 162 acres of land just north of Mudd Tavern Road (exit 118 on I-95). The new location has approximately one mile of frontage along I–95. The main entrance will be off Mudd Tavern Road near the northbound ramp onto 95. The complex will have a 4/10 mile oval track, a drag-racing strip, and a two-mile road course that auto enthusiasts will use. There will be a large area for parking and festivals. Commercial pad sites are planned near the entrance to the entertainment complex and anticipates uses such as restaurants, gas stations and automotive dealerships. The motorsports complex was designed by Dunning Group Architects, a Northern Virginia architecture and master planning firm. Britt estimates it will cost $10 million to $12 million to buy the land, develop the site and build the racing complex. He has partners in the development. About 15 people would work at the Dominion Raceway full-time, and another 60 to 100 people would staff events. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Dominion Raceway」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
